Officially an adult, I think?

Hi! Happy February! Hope you guys are doing great and 2016 has been good to you so far. It's been a crazy year so far for me and a lot of new experiences that are awaiting me especially since I've completed my architecture degree. Also, 4 days ago I officially turned 23 years old! 🎉🎊🎉 haha 😁

And I guess I'm turning into an adult and I've definitely taken up more responsibilities now especially with the shop and conteng studio. I always thought adults or atleast once I hit my 20s I'd have my life somewhat figured out. I guess you don't really "figure" out your life and that you just figure it out along the way. I don't know exactly where I'm heading but I think I need to sit down to myself and really think about what exactly I wanna do and achieve in my life. I want to go into architecture and help bring good designs that help people live a better life...but then there's the shop that I have to commit myself to it. And I guess I'm just trying to come to terms and sort things out. I don't know...maybe I'll figure it out eventually. 😁

Thank you again to everyone who wished me. Have a great year ahead and I'll talk to you soon!

Xx,
Sarah

Its done. Its over. I can finally rest

So, last week was our final exhibition where we had our internal and external panel reviews and I'm proud to say that everyone had passed! After going through so much, I am now officially completed my Part 1 architecture degree :D

After internal review we went for a celebratory lunch at Burger King and went bowling at Ampang Bowling in Bangi Gateway.

I pretty much sucked at it ahahah but it was awesome and we just enjoyed ourselves after internal review.

After external review on Thursday, we had a celebratory lunch with our lecturers and celebrated Nab's birthday as well.

The next day, we decided to go and spend our last day together at Sungai Gabai, Hulu Langat. had a cute little picnic. The water was amazingly cold and so refreshing. Really exactly what we needed.

It took us roughly about an hour and a halffrom university. We left at about 12 pm on Friday and reached there at about 1.30pm. Once we were there, there was a Chinese drama shooting at the water fall so we had to wait awhile before we could go into the river. At about 2pm, it started drizzling so we decided to stop playing in the water and have our pre-packed lunch of fried noodles, junk food & nasi lemak hahaha.

Finally, at 5pm we packed and cleaned ourselves up before making our way to our car when all of a sudden it started raining heavily. We were lucky enough to have gotten out of the river before it rained but nonetheless, some of us were still drenched.

We had dinner at my granma's shop with Abang Ikmal & Abang Zul and finally went our own separate ways.

Now that its all over, I find myself questioning, what next? Everyone says "you'll figure it out" I guess they're right. Its all up to me now. Its scary and uncertain but I'm gonna enjoy every part of it.

So, what shall I do next?

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION!! A-HAAAA

Yes, this IS that post. That blog entry that will make you say "heh...riiiiiigghht" well, you're not wrong.

But in light of a new day and a new year, I thought I'd just sum up the things I'd wanna achieve this year. Or hope to achieve at least.

1. STOP PROCRASTINATING
Yes. This year, I aim to abolish the procrastinator in me. Or atleast reduce my procrastination level about 70%. That means when I have a project (doesnt matter what project) I will work on it the same day and not wait till the next day. Overall, I'm actually better at my work schedule now and I have reduced it, but this year I aim to bring the percentage down and hopefully abolish it all together.

2. GIVE MYSELF A BREAK
So, this is tied with number 1....because of the procrastination I do, I tend to work non-stop to make up for the delay and in time for the deadline. For now, my body can handle this stress. But eventually, I know I'm gonna regret it in the future if I continue like this.

3. WAKE UP EARLY, EVERYDAY!
That means sleeping early and waking up early and not crashing throughout the day.

4. BE BETTER AT TIME PLANNING.
Last year, I made myself a planner to help me plan out my work and make sure I'm on top of things. It worked and I'm better at it now. I however, have to learn to be able to shift my schedule and not be so tight....cause there were times where I had to abandon my plans for the day to cater for family needs. I have to somehow find the balance.

5. GET A JOB!
I'll be graduating soon and I hope to be able to get a job by the middle of the year. Its high time I think about my future in architecture and start my path to the career that I want.

6. TRAVEL MORE
Need I say more?

7. DO ONE THING THAT I'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE EVERY MONTH.
To make myself interesting, ya know :P

8. TAKE CONTENG STUDIO AND MY FAMILY'S RESTAURANT A STEP FURTHER
Still working out the details on this one but its in my head definitely.

Ok, and I think thats all for today. :D I've got a model to make and not a lot of time to make it. Throw in the fact that I only slept for 2 hours, and you've got "prone to fall asleep at any moment Sarah". Have a good day ahead and I'll talk to you in my next one!

Xx,

Sarah
